H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Mid-Level Recovery Provider (NP/PA) to join our upscale plastic surgery center in Huntersville, NC! A bit about the position: The Mid-Level Provider (MPL) will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to post-operative plastic surgery patients. This role involves close collaboration with the supervising plastic surgeon to ensure optimal surgical outcomes, patient safety, and satisfaction. The MPL will play a key role in patient education, follow-up care, and postoperative care management to ensure continuity of care throughout the recovery process.
What you can expect in the role:

Provide comprehensive post-operative care for plastic surgery patients, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of healing process.

Conduct follow-up visits, evaluate surgical sites, remove sutures/drains, and manage wound care communicating with surgeons as appropriate.

Identify and manage post-operative complications, escalating care to the supervising surgeon as appropriate.

Educate patients on recovery expectations, wound care management, medications, activity restrictions, and signs of complications.

Oversight of clinical triage department for several surgeons which includes phone calls and electronic communications in a timely and professional manner.

Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with surgeons.

Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and practice protocols.

Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely medical records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Manage tiered surgical recovery program, including but not limited to: Elixir light therapy, IV therapy, Concierge nursing, Supplements, HKB swag, Skin care products/consult, and Surgery rewards program.
What we are looking for in a candidate:

Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; prior experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or surgical specialties strongly preferred.

Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills.

Experience with cosmetic procedures strongly preferred.

Familiarity with post-surgical wound care and complication management.
