It starts with our people, which is why we are looking for a sharp, entrepreneurial mid-level associate (4-6 years’ experience) to join our dynamic technology transactions and sourcing practice in our Denver/Boulder, New York, or San Francisco office. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge legal matters involving information technology, software, and data privacy, across a wide range of industries and jurisdictions.
You’ll be responsible for:- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of technology agreements, including licensing, SaaS and cloud services, development, reseller, and strategic alliance agreements.
- Manage and lead technology transactions from inception to closing, including coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advise clients on transactional issues related to emerging technology (AI, open source, blockchain, etc.), data (privacy and cybersecurity), and compliance.
- Serve as the technology specialist to support M&A and other corporate transactions.
- Collaborate with teams across the firm, including corporate, litigation, and regulatory.
Skills and experience required:- 4–6 years of relevant experience in technology transactions.
- Healthy curiosity for emerging technology.
- Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills.
- Superior work ethic and the desire to help clients succeed.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex transactions and multiple client relationships.
- Strong understanding of legal issues affecting technology and sourcing transactions.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity and openness to the use of AI-assisted contract analysis and drafting tools.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
