Middle School Librarian

The Librarian position at Ransom Everglades School is a full-time staff position reporting to the Director of Libraries and Archivist. This position is based on the Middle School campus and supports the Middle and Upper School libraries and archives.

Essential Duties Responsibilities:

• Liaise with faculty to create digital and book collections that support the School curriculum.
• Update the current LibGuides and create new ones as required.
• Assist with teaching library skills and research classes, when required, on both campuses.
• Review the usage of digital resources monthly.
• Prepare periodical library and archives newsletters.
• Update and maintain the libraries’ webpage.
• Assist in the archives as needed.
• Cross-train in all duties on both campuses.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in library and information science.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in library management systems.
• Proficiency with academic databases.
• Previous library experience.
• Educational background (preferred).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to travel between campuses.
