Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Math/Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create an engaging learning environment, deliver high-quality instruction aligned with curriculum standards, and support students’ academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach middle school Math and Science following school standards and curriculum guidelines.
- Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities that promote critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Integrate hands-on experiments, real-world applications, and technology into instruction.
- Assess student performance regularly through quizzes, exams, projects, and classroom participation.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Establish clear expectations, routines, and behavior management strategies.
- Support diverse learners through differentiated instruction and accommodations as needed.
Student Support
- Provide academic guidance, feedback, and additional support to students who need it.
- Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians.
- Foster curiosity, growth mindset, and strong study habits among students.
Collaboration & Professional Duties
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership to support school-wide goals.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Maintain accurate records, grades, and reports in accordance with school policies.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or eligibility for certification (as required by local standards).
- Experience teaching middle school students (preferred but not required).
Skills
- Strong knowledge of middle school Math and Science concepts.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to create engaging, student-centered lessons.
- Competence in using educational technology and digital tools.
Work Environment
- Classroom-based role with frequent interaction with students, faculty, and parents.
- May require occasional after-school participation in meetings or events.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
