Position Title: Middle School Math Teacher
Reports To: School Principal
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is committed to high academic expectations, culturally responsive teaching practices, and building strong relationships with students and families. The Math Teacher will deliver standards-aligned instruction, use data to drive decision-making, and create a learning environment that supports critical thinking, problem-solving, and student growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned math instruction for grades 6–8.
  • Develop daily lesson plans that incorporate best instructional practices, hands-on learning, and real-world applications.
  • Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments; adjust instruction based on data.
  • Maintain an organized and positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Provide targeted interventions and enrichment based on individual student needs.
  • Communicate consistently with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the school team to support a strong academic program, including attending PLCs, trainings, and school events.
  • Integrate technology and blended learning tools to support instruction.
  • Uphold school policies, behavioral expectations, and a safe learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Education or Mathematics preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification or ability to obtain appropriate certification.
  • Prior teaching experience in middle school math preferred.
  • Strong classroom management skills and belief in the potential of every student.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced school environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with data-driven instruction, small-group teaching, and differentiated learning.
  • Familiarity with state academic standards and curriculum resources.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $50,225.59 - $60,486.73 per year
