Middle School Math Teacher (26-27 SY)

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to student success, data-driven instruction, and creating an engaging, inquiry-based learning environment. This individual will be responsible for delivering high-quality math instruction, supporting students in developing critical thinking skills, and fostering a love for mathematics. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement rigorous, standards-aligned lesson plans that engage students in mathematical thinking and problem-solving.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Utilize data to drive instruction and assess student progress.
• Foster a classroom culture that encourages student collaboration, perseverance, and a growth mindset.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices that reflect and celebrate the diverse backgrounds of students.
• Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations for all students.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support student learning and achievement.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve instructional practices.
• Contribute to a positive school culture and work collaboratively with staff to support school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience teaching middle school students in an urban or charter school setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and best practices in math instruction.
• Commitment to culturally responsive teaching and a student-centered approach.
• Excellent classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,376.00 - $98,589.00 per year
