Middle School Mathematics Tutor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role involves teaching various levels of mathematics, developing curriculum, and utilizing innovative teaching methods to engage students in their learning journey.

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Teach subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Discrete Math while integrating real-world applications.
• Utilize learning technology and instructional design techniques to enhance student engagement and understanding.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive environment conducive to learning.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide individualized tutoring as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and participate in academic advising for students.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field; higher education teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Differential Equations, and Discrete Math.
• Experience working with students in a classroom setting; private school experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor and motivate students effectively.
• Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Background in scientific research or laboratory experience is advantageous for integrated STEM approaches.
