We are looking for a Middle School Science Teacher for the 26-27 School Year
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach 5 science classes per day, utilizing the Amplify Science curriculum.
- Collaborate with science department colleagues on department and school wide goals.
- Facilitate yearly science fair project steps with all students, with the goal of placing regionally at SARSEF and statewide at AZSEF.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and positive classroom environment with clear, established expectations and routines.
- Host after school tutoring at least day per week, and an afterschool club one day per week.
- Submit weekly lesson plans that follow the Amplify Science curriculum and engage students in critical thinking, inquiry, innovation, and hands-on learning.
- Contribute to student learning, growth, and advancement through a genuine passion for teaching science and expertise in planning and teaching.
- Maintain a growth mindset toward student learning. Believe in the potential for all students to be successful in your classroom.
- Facilitate problem-solving and seek support from colleagues, parents, and school administration when challenges arise.
- Collaborate effectively with parents and guardians, maintaining a positive and solution-oriented approach.
- Foster positive relationships with students based on warmth and high expectations for behavior and academics.
- Demonstrate appreciation and consideration for our diverse school community.
- Be active in our vibrant school community and community events.

- Strong content knowledge in middle grades science

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- A Bachelors' degree from an accredited institution.
- Arizona Department of Education Certification (preferred) or,
- Highly Qualified through AEPA/NES testing or equivalent
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Pay: $58,750.00 - $66,500.00 per year
