Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Civics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and growth. This role involves developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs, utilizing various teaching methodologies, including Montessori principles, and integrating technology into the classroom. The teacher will play a crucial role in shaping young minds and supporting their academic and social development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards. Integrate learning technology to enhance educational experiences.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative environment.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a safe, inclusive space for all students.
• Collaborate with education administration to align teaching strategies with school goals.
• Provide support for students with autism and other learning differences, ensuring their needs are met.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• A degree in Education or a related field is required; teaching certification preferred.
• Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
• Familiarity with library services and resources to support student learning.
• Strong proofreading skills for creating clear instructional materials.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
