MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER

Secondary / School Grade Teacher (SGT) – Social Studies

Location : Shraddha Group of Schools (OMR, PADUR AND TAMBARAM WEST)

Reporting To : Principal

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies / History / Geography / Political Science / Economics
• B.Ed – Mandatory
• Minimum 1–4 years of teaching experience at middle school level (CBSE preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Social Studies for Primary Grades (VI to IX) as per CBSE curriculum
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate, activity-based lessons
• Develop students’ understanding of history, geography, civics, and culture
• Use storytelling, maps, charts, models, and projects to enhance learning
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching aids
• Conduct assessments and maintain academic records
• Encourage curiosity, civic sense, and social awareness
• Provide individual attention and remedial support
• Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment
• Participate in academic meetings, trainings, and school events
• Communicate effectively with parents on student progress
• Follow school policies, CBSE norms, and academic timelines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
