Math Tutor (K–12) – Spark Learn Tutoring

ABOUT US
Spark Learn Tutoring is looking for experienced, passionate, and dependable Math tutors to support students in grades K–12. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in delivering engaging, student-focused instruction that promotes academic success and personal growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide individualized or small-group math instruction for students across all grade levels (K–12)
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that builds confidence, curiosity, and critical thinking
• Customize teaching approaches to fit each student’s learning style and academic needs
• Maintain accurate records of grades and progress reports
• Share insights and suggestions for improving curriculum and instructional content, including identifying any issues in existing question banks
• Communicate clearly and professionally with students, families, and fellow team members
• Attend occasional training sessions or team meetings as needed

REQUIRED SUBJECT EXPERTISE

Tutors must be confident teaching the following courses:

• Math Course 1 / General Math 1
• Math Course 2 / General Math 2
• Pre-Algebra (Math Course 3)
• Algebra I
• Geometry
• Algebra II
• Pre-Calculus
• AP Calculus AB/BC
• AP Statistics

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong passion for education and a desire to help students succeed
• Prior experience in teaching or tutoring is highly preferred
• Excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for math instruction
• Experience working with students from various backgrounds and ability levels
• Dependable, emotionally mature, and team-oriented
• Comfortable teaching students from elementary through high school
• Open to using and providing feedback on internal systems and curriculum
• Able to work independently while maintaining consistent communication and high standards
• Master’s degree required; Doctorate preferred
• Familiarity with Canvas LMS is a plus

COMPENSATION

$24–$28 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and availability.
