Job Title: Middle School / High School Tutor

Job Type: Part-Time / Contract

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Middle School / High School Tutor to provide academic support to students in various subjects. The ideal candidate will create personalized learning plans, reinforce classroom instruction, and help students build confidence and improve academic performance. The tutor will work one-on-one or in small groups, either in person or virtually.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized tutoring in core subjects (Math, English, Science, Social Studies)
• Assist with homework, test preparation, and study skills
• Assess student strengths and areas for improvement
• Develop structured lesson plans tailored to student needs
• Track student progress and communicate updates with parents/guardians
• Foster a positive, motivating learning environment
• Prepare students for standardized tests (FSA, SAT, ACT, etc., if applicable)

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree or higher (Education or related field preferred)
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
• Reliable, organized, and punctual

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with middle school and high school students
• Knowledge of state academic standards
• Strong math and writing skills
• Test prep experience (SAT/ACT)
• Classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles
• Proficient with virtual learning platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.)

Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
