Mid/Sr. Level Welder/Fitter

Qualifications:

• Manufacturing: 2 years (Required).
• Welding/Fitting: 2 years (Required).
• Work authorization (Required).

Job Description:

• Forms sheet metal parts according to work order and drawing requirements, and determines forming specifications.
• Assures proper materials accompany work order and run production parts according to print specifications.
• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler.
• Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.
• Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
• Determines required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Maintain high standards of quality by making sure that parts passed on to a subsequent work center are good.
• Work and be familiar with measuring tools (calipers, protractors, square, and radius gages, and etc.).
• Be able to work independently.

Requirements:

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Possesses strong attention to detail for accurate and repeatable measurements, recording data, and interpreting blueprints.
• Understanding of metal types and forming characteristics.
• Follows ISO 9001 procedures.
• Has excellent communication and organizational skills.
