Qualifications:
- Manufacturing: 2 years (Required).
- Welding/Fitting: 2 years (Required).
- Work authorization (Required).
Job Description:
- Forms sheet metal parts according to work order and drawing requirements, and determines forming specifications.
- Assures proper materials accompany work order and run production parts according to print specifications.
- Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler.
- Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.
- Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
- Determines required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
- Maintain high standards of quality by making sure that parts passed on to a subsequent work center are good.
- Work and be familiar with measuring tools (calipers, protractors, square, and radius gages, and etc.).
- Be able to work independently.
Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED required.
- Possesses strong attention to detail for accurate and repeatable measurements, recording data, and interpreting blueprints.
- Understanding of metal types and forming characteristics.
- Follows ISO 9001 procedures.
- Has excellent communication and organizational skills.
