MIG Fabricator/Welder

SC4 are seeking Welder/Fabricators to join their team.

These positions are MIG welding/fabricating processing structural/construction steel. The right candidate will be able to read and work from engineering drawings and have a strong understanding of material sections, weld symbols and the MIG welding process.

As a fabricator/welder you will perform a number of general duties some of which include:

· Fork Lift Truck / Side Loader movements (not essential)

· Internal material movement using overhead crane

· General housekeeping and upkeep of weld plant machinery and work area.

· Loading/unloading of material on/off of trailers (not essential)

About You:

You will have proven history of MIG welding and fabrication in a constructional steel setting. This position requires an enthusiastic individual with an eye for detail who is able to work towards daily and weekly production targets and consistently maintain high quality standards. You must be able to use workshop hand tools, grinders, OXY cutting and preferably have some band saw experience. The successful candidate will be physically fit and familiar working in a fast-paced target led steel environment.

Individuals must have a flexible and dynamic approach to working hours and be willing and able to work regular overtime.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Experience in the steel industry

· Ability to read engineering drawings

· Ability to accurately use measuring equipment

· Overhead Crane (desirable)

· Forklift / Side loader (desirable)

· Must have strong written and spoken English.

· Excellent time keeping, positive attitude, ability to work independently

ALL CANDIDATES WILL BE SUBJECT TO A WELD TEST

Working Hours:

FLEXIBLE HOURS AVAILABLE

Positions available on various fixed or flexible shifts;-

40 hours per week between Business operating hours of 6am - 8pm Mon-Thurs and

6am - 5pm Fridays

· Overtime regularly paid at 1hour 45minutes

· OVERTIME RATE @ 1:45

· Permanent contract after successful probation period.

Pay: £32,240.00-£42,345.00 per year
