Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MIG Welder to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for fusing metal components together using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG) equipment. You will read blueprints, prepare materials, and ensure all finished products meet our strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Welding & Fabrication: Perform high-quality MIG welding on various metals (primarily steel, aluminum, or stainless steel) in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to plan layout and assembly sequences accurately.
- Equipment Setup: Set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines according to specifications (e.g., adjusting voltage, wire feed speed, and shielding gas flow).
- Preparation & Fit-Up: Clamp, hold, tack-weld, or component-fit parts together prior to welding. Grind and clean surfaces to remove slag, rust, or impurities.
- Quality Inspection: Visually inspect completed welds for defects, cracks, or spatial inaccuracies, ensuring they meet industry codes and company standards.
- Safety Adherence: Maintain a clean work area and strictly follow safety protocols, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like welding hoods, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
