MIG Welder/Fabricator

Metal Arc, a manufacturer of high-quality steel laboratory and office furniture located in Fruitport, MI, has an opening for a full-time MIG welder in are lab department on 1st shift.

Summary of essential job functions

· Hand weld all pieces of laboratory furniture, mostly 18ga cold rolled steel, no stainless steel or aluminum

· Use any hand tools necessary (i.e. welders, sanders, finishers, grinders)

· Sweep or clean your workstation

· Ensure conformance to specifications

· Seamlessly finish product

· Recognize and report quality issues to your supervisor

Minimum requirements:

• Previous welding experience or training
• Must be able to pass a welding and grinding/finishing test

Abilities required:

• Fast Moving/ Quick on Feet
• Comfortable using necessary tools
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
• Ready to learn attitude

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
