Overview
We producing steel conveyor belting for various industries. We are seeking a MIG Welder to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality metal welding using MIG. Your expertise will ensure the durability and precision of our custom products, supporting our reputation for top-tier craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to produce strong, precise welds on diverse materials such as sheet metal and structural steel
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly
- Perform welding tasks in accordance with ASME codes & standards and project specifications
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and plasma cutting tools to verify weld integrity and dimensions
- Assist with fabrication tasks including pipe threading, assembly, rigging, and mechanical fitting
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to welding, rigging, and machinery operation
Experience
- Mig welding basics (1 Year experience)
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques; familiarity with FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of plasma cutting, press brake machines, cut/grinding, Iron worker, forming/straightening processes
- Punch/ Press machining operations and assembly processes
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and basic math skills necessary for precise measurements. Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
