Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for precision welding and fabrication tasks, contributing to the production of high-quality metal components. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, including sheet metal and fabricated components
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete fabrication tasks accurately
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise assembly
- Assist in the fabrication process by cutting, shaping, and fitting metal parts as required
- Conduct quality checks on welds and finished products to meet industry standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve production efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding techniques and safety procedures
- Proficiency in MIG welding and general fabrication processes
- Knowledge of handling hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment effectively
- Mechanical knowledge related to metalworking, sheet metal fabrication, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Familiarity with the use of welding masks, gloves, and other personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Previous experience working with various materials such as steel or aluminium is desirable
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship
