Overview
Joseph’s House strives to provide a hospitable environment for homeless people who need a safe and warm place to stay overnight. The primary goal is to build relationships with guests that will lead to pathways out of homelessness.
Milieu Manager
General Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations and administrative responsibilities of the program during assigned shift
- Oversee accurate data entry and operation of Biometrics and HMIS
- Engage, interact, and work toward fostering a trusting relationship with guests, volunteers and staff
- Enforce program policies and procedures related to guests and staff
- Address, resolve and document all emergencies – guest, staff, volunteer or facility related
- Oversee Meal Prep and Serve Guest as required for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, Kitchen Clean up
- Oversee Donations received, sorting and storage of clean and organized donation room
- Oversee Guest Medication Administration & distribution, maintain appropriate logs and organized secure medicine cabinet/refrigerator.
- Communicate expectations, Manage, train, delegate & mentor appropriate tasks to support staff
- Oversee the housekeeping duties as needed and report any maintenance problems
- Monitor staff processes and procedures the facility for continuous compliance and safety
- Document and administer staff accountability and disciplinary actions as appropriate
Skill / Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work preferred or 3-5 years of experience in the social services field
- Team player with ability to communicate effectively with different levels of the organization
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Reliable, flexible, adaptable, good listener and strong empathy
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of HMIS is a plus.
- Team oriented disposition
