Milk Truck Driver

Join us as a Milk Truck Driver and be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering quality dairy products safely and efficiently. Mystic Cheese is hiring a part-time employee to safely transport our milk from the farm to our factory in Groton CT.

Requirements:

• Licensed with a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• Mechanic aptitude
• An early riser
• Reliable transportation
• Able to maintain truck & trailer for DOT inspections
• Good time management and organizational skills (this is a time sensitive job)
• Able to lift 70lbs
• Basic Math
• Required to inspect and maintain milk pump & hoses
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers to coordinate pick-up schedules and address any logistical issues promptly
• Assist with the loading or unloading process when necessary, ensuring the integrity of refrigerated cargo is maintained at all times

Experience

• Proven experience with 16' trailer with approximately 5,000lbs
• Ability to back up with 'obstacles' that can change from pickup to pickup
• Ability to secure load with confidence
• Ability to drive and operate the pump in all types of weather
• Operate a pallet jack with 2,500lbs
• Strong knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and safety regulations related to trucking operations
• Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits and adherence to traffic laws

Pay: $23.50 - $27.50 per hour
