Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Millwork Shop Foreman to lead our manufacturing team in producing high-quality custom millwork and cabinetry. This dynamic role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in carpentry, fabrication, and construction processes. As the Millwork Shop Foreman, you will oversee daily operations within the shop, coordinate production schedules, ensure safety compliance, and maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship. Your expertise will drive efficiency, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our clients.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all activities within the millwork shop, including fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes
- Lead and mentor a team of fabricators and apprentices to ensure productivity and quality standards are met
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and installation tasks
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and heavy equipment to complete projects efficiently and safely
- Manage material inventory, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage of raw materials such as wood, metal, and composites
- Enforce safety protocols on-site to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to review project specifications, timelines, and quality expectations
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, industry standards, and restoration industry practices when applicable
- Coordinate with subcontractors or other trades involved in projects such as electrical or plumbing work related to millwork installations
- Maintain detailed records of production progress, quality inspections, and safety incidents
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, or related fields within the construction or restoration industry
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, metal stud framing, drywall installation (including plastering), stucco application, siding installation, roofing basics, flooring installation (tile or wood), cabinet installation, door hanging, fixture installation, caulking techniques, water damage restoration processes, mold remediation procedures, masonry work (including concrete forming), plumbing basics, electrical experience related to carpentry projects
- Skilled in using hand tools such as saws and chisels; power tools including drills and CNC machinery; heavy lifting equipment; scaffolding; rebar installation tools; roofing tools; woodworking equipment; water damage restoration tools; metal stud framing systems; tile cutters; electrical testers; plumbing wrenches; plastering trowels; fabricating machinery
- Demonstrated ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret schematics for fabrication purposes
- Experience managing construction site operations with a focus on safety compliance and quality control
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously within deadlines

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
