Millwork Shop Tooling Assistant

Loxaco is a growing millwork company that produces high end moldings and wall paneling through the use of large industrial woodworking equipment. We're seeking one individual to train to handle our tooling department. This job would include mounting molding knives into heads and installing heads onto machines, sharpening dull knives, making new knives, and using Vectric software to make templates for making custom knives.

Any skills related to that work that you already possess is a bonus. We are willing to train the right individual. What we're looking for is one individual with solid ethics with a good attitude who is willing and able to learn, who is very precise as this is detailed work, who works well as part of a team, and who, after training, can work unsupervised and make good decisions.

Starting pay is $20 an hour. Once you are able to perform the full process of drawing a knife in the software, making a template, and then grinding a set of knives, there is a $5 pay increase to $25 an hour. That could be as soon as one month in or more likely around the 2-3 month mark.
