Here are all the nitty, gritty details–
The ideal candidate would have the following:
- 2+ years of experience in a fabrication studio or similar field
- Skilled in carpentry, painting, sculpting and general construction
- Familiar with hand tools and basic equipment in a fabrication shop
- Welding and metal work capabilities are a plus
- Familiarity with CNC and/or Plasma machines is a plus
- Ability to run a forklift
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Can read shop drawings and/or build schematics
- Ability to work as a team or on your own
- Self starter and able to manage time effectively
- Can work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, logistics and installation
- Willing to learn news skills and adapt to changing experiences since everything we do is custom
- Position is available immediately
Work Expectations, Environment, etc
- Most of the time our work week is Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM; however, there are sporadic weekend or night installs required when necessary. Out of town travel is limited, but is sometimes required for certain jobs. We would provide transportation and lodging for all out of town work if it arises.
- Most days we work in our studio located in Lake City, GA. When required, we work on site for local installs and provide transportation.
- We are a fun, energetic group that enjoys working together while also staying focused to get work done.
Compensation:
- $20 to $25 per hour starting pay based on skill and experience level
- Candidate will start as an hourly 1099 contract labor for first 60-90 day trial period and then will be a W-2 hourly employee
- Possibility of end of year bonuses
