Organizational Background

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and production equipment

  • Align motors, pumps, and gearboxes using precision measurement tools

  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and equipment issues to minimize downtime

  • Replace bearings, belts, shafts, and other mechanical components

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on plant equipment

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

  • Maintain and repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment

  • Assist with installation, alignment, and startup of new machinery

  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure proper operation

  • Work collaboratively with electricians and maintenance teams on equipment repairs

  • Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout procedures and OSHA safety standards

Required Skills

  • Industrial machinery installation and alignment

  • Preventative and predictive maintenance techniques

  • Blueprint and schematic reading

  • Welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding preferred)

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting

  • Conveyor systems, gearboxes, and rotating equipment maintenance

  • Bearing replacement and shaft alignment

  • Rigging and equipment moving

  • Use of precision measurement tools (dial indicators, micrometers, calipers)

  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout and OSHA safety practices

Experience

  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance, millwright, or mechanical technician experience preferred
