Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Millwright AA (1099 / Contract) to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced industrial environment, performing precision maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in industrial mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and troubleshooting, ensuring optimal operation of manufacturing facilities. Duties
- Install, align, dismantle, and troubleshoot complex machinery using schematics, technical manuals, and precision measuring instruments.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment including hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and high-voltage electrical components.
- Conduct repairs involving welding, mechanical adjustments, and electrical troubleshooting with tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) records to identify issues and plan maintenance tasks.
- Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts safely for access to elevated machinery or structures.
- Support manufacturing facility operations by performing HVAC/R maintenance, low voltage electrical work, and analysis of system performance.
- Collaborate with technical sales teams or customer service representatives when providing on-site support or troubleshooting for client facilities.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to high voltage systems, industrial electrician practices, and field service procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an industrial mechanic or millwright role within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with electrical experience including low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Familiarity with schematics, CMMS software, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to perform welding, hydraulic repairs, HVAC/R maintenance, and use of diagnostic tools like ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Experience working with industrial electrical systems, low voltage wiring, and high voltage safety procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze mechanical issues using schematics and troubleshooting techniques in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent customer service skills when working directly with clients or internal teams during field service operations.
- Physical capability to operate scissor lifts safely and perform manual tasks requiring strength and dexterity.
- Military background or experience is considered an asset for discipline-driven work environments.
- Fluency in English is required for effective communication across teams and documentation purposes.
