Position Summary

Gruber Industries is currently hiring a dependable and experienced Millwright / Welder to support industrial maintenance, equipment repair, and fabrication projects. This position involves working with mechanical systems, performing welding and fabrication, and assisting with equipment installation and maintenance. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical systems
• Perform welding and fabrication using MIG, TIG, and Stick processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
• Fabricate and assemble metal components to meet project requirements
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement effective repairs
• Safely operate lifts, tools, and shop equipment
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Use measuring tools to verify accuracy and proper fit
• Maintain organized work areas and properly care for tools and equipment
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete jobs efficiently
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in millwright work, industrial maintenance, or similar mechanical role required
• Welding experience and understanding of common welding methods
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
• Experience working with industrial machinery is preferred
• Familiarity with fabrication and metalworking processes is beneficial
• Ability to read technical drawings and perform precise measurements
• Dependable, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Job Requirements

• Must be able to pass random drug screening
• Strong attendance and punctuality required
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic expected
• Must be able to work overtime when needed
• Willingness to learn and develop additional skills
• Ability to work in industrial environments, including standing, lifting, kneeling, and exposure to various weather conditions
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
