Under limited supervision, plan, organize, manage, and evaluate assigned maintenance activities. Supervise maintenance technicians. Develop, plan, and coordinate the work plan for assigned projects and responsibilities, which may include project management, cost estimates, and program development.

Direct maintenance staff in daily operations.

Inspect daily operations, projects in progress, and completed work to ensure quality and compliance.

Provide administrative and technical direction to staff; interpret policies and procedures established by regulatory agencies.

Oversee and recommend the selection of key staff; participate in the hiring process.

Work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement disciplinary procedures and recommend terminations as appropriate.

Investigate complaints and recommend corrective actions as necessary.

Develop, plan, and coordinate work plans for assigned projects, including project management, cost estimates, and program development.

Coordinate work with other site departments and functional units.

Provide information and resources to site officials and other departments as required.

Evaluate infrastructure, facilities, and operating systems to identify maintenance and repair needs.

Coordinate the activities of consultants and contractors.

Address complex issues and implement solutions through strategic planning and delegation.

Operate with significant latitude to set objectives, priorities, and timelines impacting a group or functional area.

Perform additional duties as needed to support the success of Robinson Nevada Mining Company and KGHM.

Education: High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or management experience.

Experience:
-
Ability to plan, prioritize, direct, and manage multiple operational areas, projects, and activities.

Ability to recognize occupational hazards and implement appropriate safety precautions.
-
Skilled in following safety practices and communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Working knowledge of MSHA surface regulations.
-
Knowledge of mobile mining equipment.
-
Ability to coach, counsel, and hold employees accountable.
-
Licenses: Valid driver’s license.

Experience:
-
Five (5) years in a maintenance supervisory position.
-
Strong working knowledge of hydraulic and electric rope shovels and rotary blasthole drill rigs.
-
CAT 6060, CAT 7495 experience.
-
Epiroc drill platforms experience.
-
Minimum of five (5) years of front-line supervisory experience.
-
Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and correct safe work practices.
-
Strong people skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and build effective teams.
-
Proven experience in team building and leadership.
-
Employee development, progression, and performance management.

Strong computer skills including email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Working knowledge of welding practices and repair processes.
-
Experience with cranes and lifting devices.

Experience working at heights and with fall protection systems.

Experience using JD Edwards (JDE).
-
Proficient in Microsoft software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.

Working knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and coordination.

Occasionally for training and development.

Skilled in supervising, evaluating, training, and motivating employees.

Ability to develop and support front-line supervisors.

Ability to mentor staff in maintenance troubleshooting and repair.

Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
Ability to meet the required physical demands, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
