Job Description
The Drilling Manager manages the company's day-to-day drilling operations and the planning and execution of drilling projects. including drilling, geological and data analysis, managing geological fieldwork
Also manages proper use and maintenance of equipment, plans and develops revisions or improvements to solve drilling and repair problems. In addition, you will be primarily responsible for all operations, problems and injuries on site, bear all decisions and actions in coordination with the CEO.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures the highest level of safety, health and environmental work standards are maintained.Manages greenfield project worksCollect, analyse, and interpret complex geological dataDevelop drill targets and implement drilling programs, making decisions on advancing, shelving, or dropping targets through peer reviews.Conduct field mapping to interpret geological structures, alterations, and lithological units for exploration targetingGenerate district-scale balanced cross-sections and create 3D geological-structural alteration models.Identify and implement opportunities to reduce risks and enhance project viability.
• Mentors subordinate geological staff.• Ensure adherence to on-site health, safety, and environmental standards.
Coordinate with various internal groups, consultants, and drill crews to safely execute exploration activitiesPrepare and communicate project-level summaries to diverse audiences, including technical, financial, and corporate stakeholders.Follows up and supervises the implementation of all decisions and directives from the CEO.He solves problems and conflicts, and finds radical solutions to them.He submits his daily, weekly and monthly reports to the CEO and oversees the day-to-day operations.Monitor processes to ensure required changes are made.Follow budget guidelines and make necessary changes to reduce costs. Coordination with material suppliers and contractors.Follow up on preparing the site's health, safety and environment requirements
Recommend ways or ideas to reduce cost and improve safety.
QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.10+ years’ experience in greenfield exploration and exploration project generation.Good knowledge in using Software , Geological Modelling and MS Office.Must have a valid driver’s license.Good English communication skills (both oral and written).
