Job Description: We are looking for a Mission Success Engineer to serve as the bridge between our customers and our engineering team, ensuring successful deployments, integrations, and ongoing use of our platform. This role blends elements of developer relations, technical support, and solutions engineering—you’ll work directly with non-technical and semi-technical customers to understand their needs, build custom API integrations, and translate requirements into actionable engineering deliverables. You’ll also contribute to internal documentation, identify patterns across user requests, and help shape the roadmap through close collaboration with product and engineering teams. The ideal candidate combines strong communication skills with hands-on experience in software development and a passion for solving real-world problems.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, supporting them through onboarding, integration, and successful usage of our platform.
Design, build, and maintain custom API integrations between our platform and customer systems, external APIs, or third-party services.
Translate non-technical customer requirements into structured technical tasks, collaborating closely with internal engineering teams to ensure feasibility and clarity.
Develop scripts, tools, and lightweight services that help automate deployment, data transformation, or reporting needs for enterprise clients.
Act as a liaison between customer stakeholders and internal teams—surfacing product feedback, clarifying use cases, and helping prioritize roadmap features.
Write and maintain clear internal and external technical documentation, including integration guides, API walkthroughs, and support FAQs.
Support troubleshooting and debugging across API integrations and customer implementations, escalating as necessary to backend, frontend, or DevOps teams.
Contribute to a growing library of reusable solution templates and sample code for common use cases.
Deliver training sessions, demos, or workshops for customers and partners to help them understand and extend the capabilities of our system.
Foster relationships with key technical stakeholders across our partner and client ecosystem.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience in a technical support, solutions engineering, or developer relations role.
Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs, with experience in Node.js or Python preferred.
Strong understanding of API authentication, error handling, and integration best practices.
Demonstrated ability to gather and clarify requirements from non-technical users and convert them into actionable engineering plans.
Experience with tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar API testing and documentation platforms.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and basic understanding of deployment and infrastructure concepts.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical topics in simple terms.
Self-starter with a customer-first mindset and a knack for balancing detail-oriented work with big-picture thinking.
Bonus: experience in IoT, remote sensing, or maritime technologies.
Work Environment:
This is a remote position with collaboration via online tools.
Flexible working hours with occasional deadlines requiring high availability.
Opportunity to work on innovative projects with a global impact.
Benefits:
Competitive salary
Flexible work hours and the option for remote work.
Opportunities for professional development and continued education.
