Position Summary
The Water Mitigation Project Manager oversees water damage restoration projects from initial loss assessment through dry verification and billing. This role manages field technicians, develops drying strategies in accordance with Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC S500 & IICRC S520) standards, communicates with insurance adjusters, and ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
Core Responsibilities
Project Oversight
- Perform on-site loss inspections and moisture mapping
- Determine water category and class
- Develop and execute drying plans using psychrometric calculations
- Monitor daily progress and adjust equipment as needed
- Conduct final moisture verification
Crew & Operations Management
- Supervise technicians and subcontractors
- Ensure OSHA safety compliance
- Schedule labor and equipment deployment
- Maintain equipment inventory control
Insurance & Estimating
- Document losses with photos, moisture mapping software, and notes
- Communicate scope with adjusters
- Manage approvals
Customer Service
- Serve as primary client contact end to end
- Explain scope, timeline, and expectations
- Resolve conflicts and escalations professionally
Financial Accountability
- Manage job budgets and profitability
- Track gross margin performance
Required Qualifications
- IICRC WRT certification (minimum)
- 2–5+ years water mitigation experience
- Knowledge of structural drying principles
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work on-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications
- ASD certification
- AMRT certification
- Experience in commercial losses
- OSHA 10 or 30-Hour certification
- Leadership experience managing crews
- Experience with Xactimate estimating
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Climb ladders, crawlspaces, confined spaces
- Work in high humidity environments
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
