Nostro (www.nostro.pk) is a fast-growing Pakistani fintech startup on a mission to solve cross-border banking for Pakistan's global workforce. Nostro provides virtual USD bank accounts with ACH/ABA routing numbers, mid-market exchange rates, virtual and physical debit cards, payment links, and an invoicing system, built specifically for freelancers, remote workers, and founders earning internationally.

Our cross-functional team including front-end, back-end, and project management moves fast and collaborates closely. We're looking for a talented part-time Mobile App Designer to help bring our mobile experience to life.

Role Overview

As our part-time Mobile App Designer, you'll own the visual and UX design of our mobile application. You'll work closely with our front-end engineer to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and coordinate with our project manager to deliver on schedule.

What You'll Do

• Design intuitive, visually polished UI/UX for iOS and/or Android
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma
• Maintain and expand our design system and component library
• Collaborate with our front-end engineer on design handoff
• Iterate based on user feedback and stakeholder input
• Join brief weekly syncs with the team

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of mobile app design experience (iOS and/or Android)
• Strong portfolio demonstrating mobile UI/UX work
• Proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping
• Familiarity with Apple HIG and/or Material Design guidelines
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time
• Clear communicator comfortable giving and receiving design feedback

Nice to Have

• Experience with design systems and component libraries
• Familiarity with React Native or Flutter
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Experience working with early-stage startups
