We are looking for individuals who:
- Have a minimum of an associate's degree or high school diploma/equivalent and 1 years’ experience in behavioral/mental health experience (to include 988 Lifeline) OR;

Have a Bachelor's degree in human services arena (Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice) OR;

Have a Bachelor's degree in other areas with one year of behavioral/mental health experience

Have Peer Specialist Certification

The Role:
The role of the Mobile Crisis Peer Specialist is to provide critical support to individuals facing mental health and related crisis in our community, support and assist in the delivery of services to meet client needs and offers own unique perspective as a consumer provider to help the staff better understand client response to treatment.
What you will do:
- Respond to mobile crisis dispatches and provide on-site de-escalation and suicide risk screening, safety planning, and resource linkage

Transport clients in agency vehicles when needed

Offer empathetic listening and emotional support to individuals in distress

Document client interactions and communicate effectively with team members and agency partners

Complete required client records and maintain program materials

Follow up with clients, make referrals, and collaborate with community partners and treatment providers

Assesses client needs, strengths and weaknesses by direct observation and through information provided by others; assists in the development and implementation of WRAP plans to address the unique needs of each client

May perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must possess at least one of the following:

Certified Addictions Practitioner
-
Law Enforcement, EMT, Peer Support Specialist

Associate degree/High School Diploma with one year of mental/behavioral health experience to include 988 Lifeline
-
Bachelor's degree in human services arena (Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice)

Bachelor's degree in other areas with one year of behavioral/mental health experience
-
Licensed Mental Health Professional
-
Occupational Therapy (O.T.D.)
Employment Requirements:

Completion of a pre-employment drug screen

Completion of a background check

Verification of Peer Support Certification

Satisfactory Driving Record
