Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Mobile Dentist Director to lead our mobile healthcare initiatives, delivering comprehensive dental and medical services directly to communities in need. This role combines clinical excellence with leadership, ensuring high-quality patient care across diverse settings. Duties
- Provide comprehensive dental care, including general dentistry procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, and prosthodontics. Perform medical assessments and deliver primary care services aligned with elderly adult patient needs.
- Lead clinical teams in delivering safe, effective care using aseptic techniques and infection control protocols consistent with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage medical documentation accurately within electronic health record systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, ensuring compliance with medical records standards.
- Conduct patient assessments utilizing dental and medical terminology to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Oversee dental fabrication processes and utilize medical imaging to support diagnoses and treatment strategies.
- Ensure adherence to all safety standards related to oral surgery, dental extractions, and infection prevention measures.
- Collaborate with community organizations to coordinate outreach programs that expand access to oral health and general medical services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and emerging best practices in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
- Supervise clinical staff in four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort.
Requirements
- Valid license to practice dentistry with certification in dentistry or general dentistry; medical license in Texas preferred for dual practice roles.
- Strong knowledge of electronic health records system.
- Demonstrated expertise in oral surgery procedures including dental extractions.
- Proficiency in using medical imaging tools and understanding of anatomy relevant to dental and medical assessments.
- Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations along with experience managing medical documentation securely and accurately.
- Ability to perform dental fabrication tasks when needed; knowledge of infection control protocols essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures using clear dental and medical terminology.
- Commitment to patient care excellence with a focus on elder and nursing home populations; experience working in mobile or community-based clinics is a plus. Pay: $175,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year
