Mobile Diesel Mechanic

Description:

Technician will successfully diagnose, repair, and install Heavy-Duty Truck/Equipment Air Conditioning Systems in a timely and professional manner. A minimum of three years experience in Diesel Air Conditioning System diagnosis/repair is required. Technician must be on time daily, with a good attitude, have a complete set of tools, and a valid Texas driver's license.

Flat rate hourly pay for qualified Diesel Mechanics ranges $41-$46/Hour.

Pay is based on experience.

Job Duties:

- Give support to management with regards to accomplishing tasks as a team.

- Follow all policies and procedures set forth by company.

- Follow all safety procedures at facility and jobsites before, during, and after repairs.

- Keep work areas safe and clean at all times.

- Customer Service - Communicate with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.

- Safely commute to trucks/equipment and go through specified diagnostic procedures in order to located the present issue.

- Type up neat work orders which include diagnosis notes as well as all necessary parts so that service staff can get estimate approval as needed.

- Professionally complete all electrical, mechanical, and/or other repairs needed on mobile Air Conditioning systems so that the equipment is restored to OE condition.

- Perform custom installation of various aftermarket Air Conditioning units as needed.

- Notify supervisor of any additional work needed once an estimate has been given.

- Correctly, neatly, and completely fill out repair tickets on mobile tablet.

- Assist other technicians in completing jobs as needed.

- Obtain and keep all company required licenses and certifications (i.e. section 609 certification).

- Have and maintain necessary tools to complete needed repairs on mobile Air Conditioning systems.
