What You'll Do

As a Mobile Fleet Technician, you'll operate your own fully equipped service truck — a self-contained mobile service center capable of handling 95% of routine repairs and maintenance on-site. Day to day, you will:

• Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and routine service on commercial fleet vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and emissions issues on pickups, medium-duty trucks, big rigs, delivery vans, yard spotters, trailers, and reefers
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and urgent repair calls
• Perform brake service, filter changes, fluid services, welding and fabrication as needed, and complex diagnostics using premium heavy-duty equipment
• Work directly with customers at their locations, representing Coltrain with professionalism and expertise
• Keep accurate service records and maintain your mobile unit, tools, and inventory
• Follow safety protocols and site controls to protect people and property

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a fleet, diesel, or heavy-duty technician (or a highly motivated learner ready to grow)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Comfort working independently in the field
• A customer-first mindset and pride in quality work
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• CDL and ASE certifications a plus — not required to start
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in varied weather conditions, and handle the physical demands of fleet repair

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
