This position starts at a base pay of $1,300/week, with clear opportunities for performance-based increases. As you prove reliability, efficiency, and value to the company, pay will be reviewed and increased accordingly. We are looking for someone long-term who wants to grow with us as we expand into a full-service shop.

On Demand Drivers is one of Raleigh’s fastest-growing car rental companies, operating a fleet of 60+ economy vehiclesprimarily rented to Uber, DoorDash, and delivery drivers.

We don’t deal with brand new cars — we operate a high-volume fleet of $3,000–$5,000 vehicles, meaning:

Position Overview

We are looking for a hungry, reliable, and skilled Mobile Mechanic to handle day-to-day maintenance and repairs across our fleet.

This role starts as a mobile position, but our goal is to transition into a dedicated in-house shop, and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow into a lead mechanic or shop manager role as we expand.

Responsibilities

• Perform mobile repairs across a fleet of 60+ vehicles
• Diagnose and fix common issues quickly (check engine lights, misfires, etc.)
• Engine swaps, transmission replacements, and general repairs
• Brake jobs, suspension work, oil changes, and maintenance
• Inspect vehicles before they go out to renters
• Keep vehicles road-ready with minimal downtime
• Communicate clearly with management about repairs and timelines

Preferred Experience

We are specifically looking for someone experienced with:

✔ Ford vehicles (Fusion, Focus, etc.)
✔ Toyota vehicles (Camry, Corolla, etc.)
✔ High-mileage vehicles
✔ Engine & transmission swaps
✔ Working fast without sacrificing reliability

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools (preferred)
• Mobile capability (truck/van preferred but not required)
