Mobile Forensic Expert analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking motivated Mobile Forensic Expert – Analysts to support mobile and device-based forensic investigations. The role involves extracting, analyzing, and documenting digital evidence from mobile devices while following standard forensic and evidence-handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze data from smartphones and conventional mobile devices to identify digital artefacts
• Apply fundamental mobile forensic concepts and wireless communication technologies
• Decode, query, and extract data from Android, iOS, Blackberry, and other mobile file systems
• Understand limitations of existing mobile data extraction methods
• Perform advanced extraction techniques such as chip-off, JTAG, and physical acquisition
• Reverse engineer mobile applications and software packages when required
• Select appropriate forensic tools and eliminate irrelevant data during analysis
• Use proprietary and open-source mobile forensic tools for investigations
• Collect, preserve, and document evidence related to drone incidents, ensuring chain of custody
• Analyze drone-related data using tools such as DEFT, DFIF, Magnet AXIOM, and similar platforms
• Prepare executive summaries, detailed forensic reports, and investigation documentation
• Follow standard evidence handling and forensic documentation procedures

Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in cyber forensics with exposure to Mobile Forensics
• Hands-on experience with Cellebrite UFED, Oxygen Detective, MSAB XRY Forensics, EnCase, FTK, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of mobile file systems, OS architectures, and data extraction techniques
• Proficiency in forensic reporting, documentation, and investigation workflows
• B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA / MBA / PG from a recognized university/institution
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication, or related fields
• Industry certifications such as GASF, IACIS Certified Mobile Device Examiner (ICMDE), CHFI, or equivalent are desirable
• Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain evidence integrity
