Mobile Operations & Logistics Lead

Sun Bus Mobile Dermatology Clinic
Travel Required (Regional + Multi-State)

The Sun Bus is a 40-foot mobile dermatology clinic delivering free skin cancer screenings and prevention education to rural and underserved communities across the western U.S. Based in Colorado, we travel to WY, NM, MT, CA, AZ, TX, and NV in partnership with local organizations and volunteer clinicians.

We are hiring a Mobile Operations & Logistics Lead to take ownership of field operations, vehicle transport, and on-site execution of our mobile clinic.

This is a hands-on, road-based role for someone who enjoys travel, problem-solving, and leading operational setup in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Mobile Unit Operations

  • Drive and operate a 40-foot modified RV (mobile clinic) for local and regional transport (experience with large vehicles or willingness to learn)
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle readiness
  • Coordinate fueling, maintenance scheduling, and basic troubleshooting

Field Setup & Event Execution

  • Lead on-site setup and breakdown of the mobile clinic
  • Oversee equipment staging and physical event logistics
  • Ensure safe, organized site operations during screenings

Event & Partner Coordination

  • Work with community partners to confirm logistics and site requirements
  • Support scheduling and coordination of volunteer clinicians
  • Maintain event calendars and operational documentation

Travel & Deployment

  • Travel 5–10 days per month (excluding winter)
  • Represent the Sun Bus professionally in communities
  • Serve as a steady on-site lead during travel deployments

Ideal Background

  • Experience in field operations, logistics, fleet management, construction, event production, emergency response, military, or mobile service work preferred
  • Confident driver; experience operating large vehicles preferred (RV, truck, bus, trailer, etc.) but not necessary
  • Comfortable with hands-on setup and problem-solving
  • Organized and able to manage moving pieces while traveling
  • Calm under pressure and able to take initiative

Healthcare or nonprofit experience is welcome but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to $50,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
