Job Summary: Mobile Specimen Collector

As a Mobile Specimen Collector, you will play an essential role in ensuring the collection of blood, toxicology, and pathology samples in mobile and assisted living settings. Whether you are working independently or as part of a team, you will help ensure that the specimens are collected and transported safely and efficiently, providing critical data for patient care. Job Responsibilities:

• Servicing key areas:

o Long Beach, WA
o Ocean Park, WA
o Surrounding regions

• Collect blood, toxicology/med management, NGS, and pathology specimens from patients in a variety of settings, including mobile and assisted living environments.
• Perform specimen collection in accordance with laboratory SOPs
• Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling and documentation of all specimens
• Always maintain strict compliance with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality regulations
• Ensure patient requisitions are completed accurately including Full name, DOB, DOS, ordered tests, sex, name & address of ordering physician, and specimen type.
• Identify and report collection issues, specimen integrity concerns, or safety incidents promptly to supervisors
• Maintain proper tracking with laboratory approved manifests.
• Participate in training and meetings to remain current with collection standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification (required).
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience is highly preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record and a valid drivers license.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and complete HIPAA training upon hire.
• Must be dependable, professional, and possess the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Pay & Benefits:

• Pay: Starting at $25 per hour, with competitive adjustments based on experience and location.
• Full-time position: Monday through Friday.
