Mobile Phlebotomist

We are currently seeking experienced and certified Mobile Phlebotomists to join our laboratory team. This position involves traveling to healthcare facilities to perform specimen collection while ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and proper specimen handling.

As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will work directly with nursing homes and healthcare facilities to provide reliable and efficient laboratory specimen collection services. Candidates must be comfortable working independently and traveling between facilities.

• Manhattan, NY
• Poughkeepsie, NY

Responsibilities

• Reports To: Phlebotomy Supervisor
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection in nursing homes and healthcare facilities.
• Verify patient identity and ensure proper specimen labeling and documentation.
• Follow laboratory protocols for specimen handling, storage, and transportation.
• Accurately complete requisitions and collection documentation.
• Maintain professional communication with facility staff and laboratory personnel.
• Ensure specimens are transported to the laboratory in a timely manner.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and infection control guidelines at all times.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience in a hospital, nursing home, or clinical setting.
• Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile healthcare environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and patient care skills.

Requirements

• Reliable personal vehicle required.
• Start Time: 3:30AM
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel between healthcare facilities throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Poughkeepsie NY.
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
