Mobile Phlebotomist - PRN

Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Mobile Phlebotomist - PRN, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality laboratory specimen collection services directly at patients' locations. This flexible position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while ensuring accurate and efficient specimen handling. As a key member of our mobile healthcare services, you will bring your expertise in phlebotomy and patient interaction to support diagnostic testing and promote positive health outcomes across diverse populations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood draws and specimen collection using venipuncture and skin puncture techniques, adhering to aseptic procedures and safety standards
  • Collect, process, label, and transport specimens accurately to ensure integrity and timely laboratory analysis
  • Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to support clinical assessments and ensure patient safety during procedures
  • Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and specimen handling within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems
  • Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and demonstrating compassionate care across all age groups, including geriatrics and pediatrics
  • Follow laboratory protocols for specimen handling, storage, and transportation while maintaining compliance with health regulations
  • Assist with data entry related to specimen collection and patient information to support laboratory operations and reporting
  • MUST HAVE PEDIATRIC EXPERIENCE.

Skills

  • Proficiency in laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection methods such as venipuncture and blood sampling
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical laboratory practices
  • Experience with hospital or clinical environments, demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced settings
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport supplies or specimens safely
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care, comfort, and communication
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate data entry and record keeping
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), with knowledge of vital signs monitoring
  • Understanding of aseptic technique to prevent contamination during specimen collection
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
