Mobile Phlebotomist/Medical assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for traveling to various locations to perform blood draws and specimen collections from patients in a safe and efficient manner. You will play a crucial role in ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction while adhering to clinical laboratory standards.

Duties

• Perform blood sampling and specimen collection from patients in various settings, including homes, clinics, and hospitals.
• Ensure proper identification of patients and accurate labeling of specimens.
• Monitor and record vital signs prior to and after the phlebotomy procedure.
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing concerns and ensuring a positive experience during the collection process.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of mobile phlebotomy equipment and supplies.
• Follow laboratory techniques and protocols for specimen collection processing to ensure quality results.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to communicate patient needs and any issues that arise during the collection process.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of patient care practices, including vital signs monitoring.
• Proficient in laboratory techniques related to blood sampling and specimen collection processing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and comfort.
• Understanding of physiology as it relates to phlebotomy procedures.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in various environments, including hospitals and private residences.
• Experience in clinical laboratory settings is preferred but not required.
• Capability to phlebotomize efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene.

Job Types: Contract, Per diem

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Every weekend
• On call
