Mobile Podiatrist / Wound Care Specialist

Job Summary
True Medical AC is a growing mobile medical practice focused on delivering high-quality, compassionate wound care directly to patients in the comfort of their homes, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and other care settings. We are expanding rapidly due to strong patient demand and are seeking a skilled, motivated Mobile Podiatrist / Wound Care Specialist to join our team.

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Podiatrist or a highly qualified provider with strong podiatry-focused clinical training and wound care experience to provide mobile podiatric and wound care services to patients across our service areas.

The ideal candidate is confident in lower extremity assessments, diabetic foot care, nail and callus care, wound evaluation and treatment, offloading strategies, and ongoing care management for high-risk patients. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a real impact in underserved and homebound patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile podiatric care in home, facility, and community-based settings
• Evaluate, assess, and manage lower extremity wounds and foot-related conditions
• Perform routine and advanced foot care, including diabetic foot care
• Trim nails, manage calluses/corns, and address common podiatric concerns
• Identify signs of infection, ischemia, pressure injury, and wound deterioration
• Develop and implement wound care treatment plans
• Perform debridement when clinically appropriate and within scope
• Recommend offloading, pressure relief, and preventative strategies
• Collaborate with primary care providers, home health agencies, family members, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
• Help improve continuity of care for patients with limited mobility or transportation barriers

Qualifications

• DPM required preferred
• Will consider providers with strong podiatry training, lower extremity wound care experience, or wound care specialization
• Active and unrestricted state license in good standing
• Experience in wound care, diabetic limb preservation, mobile medicine, home health, or podiatric medicine strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in the field
• Strong bedside manner and compassionate patient approach
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable traveling between patient locations

Preferred Experience

• Mobile medicine or home-based care experience
• Skilled nursing / assisted living / home health experience
• Wound care certifications or advanced wound care experience
• Experience treating diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, venous ulcers, arterial wounds, and foot-related complications
• Familiarity with EMR documentation and care coordination workflows
