Mobile Repair Tech

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing parts on John Deere, Case IH, Bourgault, Flexi-Coil, and New Holland air seeders and grain drills.

Duties

• Travel to farms and install parts on air seeders.
• Be physically able to crawl under equipment, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Be able to work independently on small jobs, or with a crew of up to 4 on full rebuild jobs.
• Collaborate with other technicians to maximize efficiency while delivering quality service.
• Repairs including replacing wear parts on row units, cutting and installing hose, upgrading cart components to stainless steel, and replacing metering equipment on air carts.

Requirements

• Background in mechanics or experience working with repairing equipment on a farm.
• DOT health card to pull an enclosed trailer behind a pickup, or willingness to obtain a health card after hiring.
• Familiar with DOT guidelines for non-CDL commercial driving.
• Attention to detail to effectively service equipment.
• Willingness to work longer hours during busy times of the year.
• Good communication skills to work with farmers on coordinating service appointments, and resolving unforeseen issues during service jobs.
• Knowledge of hand, electric, and pneumatic tools used in mechanics, and the ability to use them.
• Job is commission based, and commission rate will be dependent on experience.
• Travel within 6 hours is required up to 60% of the time during peak seasons.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
