Job Summary

Coltrain Onsite Fleet Care is looking for an experienced Mobile Diesel Technician / Fleet Mechanic to join our team in the Baton Rouge, LA area.

We provide mobile maintenance and repair services for light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty fleet vehicles. Our technicians perform repairs onsite at customer locations, helping fleets reduce downtime and keep their vehicles on the road.

Responsibilities

As a Mobile Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Performing on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on fleet vehicles
• Servicing light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty trucks
• Performing DOT inspections, PM services, brake repairs, electrical diagnostics, suspension work, aftertreatment diagnostics, and general repairs
• Accurately documenting repairs, parts used, and labor time
• Communicating professionally with customers and internal team members
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional service vehicle
• Following all safety procedures and company standards
• Providing excellent customer service while representing Coltrain Onsite Fleet Care in the field

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and drug screening
• Previous experience as a diesel technician, fleet mechanic, or mobile mechanic
• Experience with light, medium, and/or heavy-duty vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must have your own basic tools
• Valid driver’s license required
• Clean driving record preferred
• DOT inspection experience preferred
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required
• Experience with trailers, liftgates, hydraulics, electrical, or aftertreatment systems is a plus

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• Some after-hours or weekend work may be available as needed

Pay

$25.00-$40.00 (Pay based on experience)
