Mold Maker II
The Mold Maker II is responsible for advanced machining, mold maintenance, and repair tasks. This role requires a high level of technical expertise in CNC and manual machining, the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Essential Functions:

Follow all company policies and safety procedures

Operate CNC Haas Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs)

Load tooling and programs into machines
-
Execute jobs using setup sheets
-
Inspect parts for accuracy and adjust offsets as needed
-
Modify CNC programs directly on the machine when necessary

Periodically operate manual machines such as hand mills, lathes, grinders, and cut-off saws

Communicate with programmers before, during, and after projects
-
Take ownership of designated machines and workspace to ensure cleanliness and safety
Required Skills:

Advanced skills in operating CNC mills and lathes
-
Technical ability to use inspection equipment and interpret blueprints
-
Basic programming skills to adjust CNC programs
-
Ability to plan and execute project steps independently

Proficient in performing setups on all machines with minimal supervision

Basic operating skills on all hand machines
-
Ability to perform complex repairs on production or maintenance equipment
-
Strong understanding of mold and production equipment functionality
-
Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment
Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times

Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision work

Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching

Safety Awareness: Consistently adheres to safety protocols and promotes a culture of safety in the workplace
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: At least five (5) years of related experience in machine or mold making
