Mold Operator- 3rd shift

Overview:

Horton, Inc., a global airflow industry leader in reliability, service and innovation has an opening for a 3rd shift, Mold Operator to work in our Westminster, SC location. Standard 3rd shift work hours are Sunday- Wednesday from 9:30 pm - 7:30 am. Occasional overtime may be required. For more information on Horton, Inc. please visit our web site at www.hortonww.com. Pay starts at $19.40 per hour and depends on experience.

Mold Operator Information:

The Mold Operator position reports directly to the Production Manager or Facility Lead and must work in coordination with co-workers to be effective. This position is primarily responsible to produce quality product by operating different types of machinery to produce plastic molded products.

Responsibilities:

Mold Operator Responsibilities:

Will be expected to be able to perform daily tasks.

Read and follow instructions on routings and work instructions for each job.
Checks stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assembly, parts and any other items needed.
Complete all departmental paperwork, such as routings, assembly tickets, downtime tracking sheets, production status sheets and checklists.
Follow work instructions or routings.
Packaging of product, if applicable.
Responsible for the safe operation of machinery used for assembly components. Machinery may vary from hand tools to large stamping or molding presses as determined by area.
May be required to use quality inspection tools such as gauges, micrometers and/or calipers.
Continuously inspect part quality.
Maintain production rate on each job.

Load and unload presses when ran in manual mode.
Will be responsible for the operation and set-up of all simple machines within their assigned area
Move pallets with assemblies to designated staging areas.
Ensure data accuracy before entering scrap/production into Oracle.
Inspecting presses for any mechanical issues and report immediately to leadership.
Elevate issues to management, including discrepancies.
As with everyone on the team, other duties may be assigned to support the overall success of the company.

Qualifications:

Mold Operator Qualifications:

Previous relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must be able to work 3rd shift and have reliable transportation.
Attention to detail is a must.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to work well in a group and individually.
Some degree of mechanical aptitude is required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States. No Visa sponsorship provided now or in the future for this position.
