We are seeking a highly skilled and DHA/DOH licensed Molecular Biology/ Genetics Lab Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform advanced molecular biology and genetic laboratory testing, contributing to diagnostic and research projects in a state-of-the-art laboratory.
This position requires expertise in molecular diagnostics, strict adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform molecular and genetic laboratory tests, including but not limited to PCR, qPCR, NGS, Sanger, MLPA, Karyotyping and FISH.

Process, extract, and purify nucleic acids from a variety of biological samples.

Culture and processing prenatal, postnatal and oncology samples.

Analyze data and prepare detailed reports with precision and clarity.

Ensure compliance with Standard laboratory operating protocols and maintain high-quality standards.

Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

Participate in internal and external quality control programs.

Assist in developing and validating new molecular assays and methodologies.

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace always.

Assist the Clinical Laboratory Manager and Supervisors in distributing proficiency samples, performing analysis, and reporting testing results.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.

Licensure: Valid DHA/DOH professional license as a Molecular Biology Technologist or Genetic Technologist, preferably with ASCP-MB certification.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a molecular biology/genetics laboratory, preferably in a clinical laboratory setting.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in molecular techniques such as PCR, qPCR, POCT, Sanger, and NGS.

Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and genetic databases.

Open to learn new advanced and classical technologies whenever it is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:
