Montessori Jumior

American Lyceum International School is looking for a caring, creative, and energetic Montessori Junior Teacher to join our Primary Section. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English, a passion for teaching young learners, and the ability to create a safe and engaging classroom environment that supports both academic and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing Montessori-based lessons and activities designed to encourage hands-on, child-centered learning in areas like practical life, sensorial, language, and early mathematics.
• Help prepare, organize, and maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating Montessori classroom with appropriate materials easily accessible to students.
• Carefully observe children during activities and document developmental progress, behaviors, and interests for use in planning and reporting.
• Encourage personal responsibility, discipline, and good behavior in class.
• Communicate regularly with parents through meetings, reports, and updates.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, school events, and co-curricular activities.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to share ideas and improve teaching practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Teaching certification (preferred but not mandatory).
• Minimum 1year experience in teaching.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about working with young children.
• Familiarity with primary-level curriculum and teaching strategies.
• Proficient in classroom management and communication with parents.
