Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated Lead / Co-Lead Montessori Teacher to join our Primary/Casa community full-time. You will help design and deliver a holistic Montessori curriculum for children aged 3–6, working collaboratively with fellow guides to foster a rich environment of learning, independence, and community.
Key Responsibilities
· Create, implement, and guide developmentally appropriate Montessori lessons that address each child’s intellectual, emotional, social, and physical needs.
· Observe and assess the progress of each child, fostering individualized learning plans and maintaining clear documentation and communication with families.
· Cultivate a calm, orderly, and inspiring classroom environment where children can work independently, engage with materials freely, and internalize Montessori principles.
· Work in close collaboration with your co-guide and support staff to maintain the prepared environment and classroom routines.
· Apply inclusive teaching practices that honor and support neurodivergent learners, with access to school-provided resources and training in neuroinclusive education.
· Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent education forums.
· Uphold the Montessori philosophy through interpersonal interactions—with children, families, and colleagues—with grace, respect, empathy, and authenticity.
Qualifications
· Montessori credentialing from an accredited program (AMI, AMS, etc.) in the 3–6 level preferred.
· Experience as a Lead or Co-Lead Teacher in a Montessori setting, ideally with children ages 3–6.
· Strong understanding of child development and the Montessori Method.
· Commitment to inclusive practices and a willingness to support neurodiverse learners.
· Excellent communication skills, with a cooperative and reflective approach to teamwork.
· A lifelong learner who brings creativity, patience, enthusiasm, and integrity to the classroom.
· Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
